There are a lot of factors why I am closing this…

1. I have not updated a lot of issues to express. I was kind of busy for a while because I cannot manage my time for a few months.

It is already out in various areas around the world. While the PS2 port of this game will be out in June.

Looks like most characters improved like Leona, who can “move” at her will after executing her boomerang special, Krauser gaining new moves that he did not have in KOF ’96 (yes, he a now a force to reckon with in the videos I saw), Athena, Brian and Chin gaining new supers, Kasumi having new tricks off her sleeve. Same goes with the EX characters like King, Yamazaki, Mai and Geese who look like forces to reckon with.

As for the Ultimate Mode, It’s your custom mode. You choose your AB (Evading or Dodging), forward (Step or Dash) and Power Meter (Advanced or Extra).

In the one player mode, You either encounter Goenitz, Omega Rugal or Orochi as your boss depending on how you play.

Personally, I have not played this game, But I am looking forward to play his game.

Last February 15, at the AOU 2008 in Japan, SNK Playmore shocked the whole world. By Showing the never seen before footage of the new look of the King of Fighters. New set of (believe it or not) hand-drawn sprites.

According to Masaki Kukino, producer of the game, the spriting team (the same ones who worked for the previous KOF games) pulled out an effort for the first time to start from scratch. They also based it on the art designs of Nona (In-game artist of KOF XI (as La Passe Temps, I think) and art director of KOF XII).

Gameplay-wise, the Multi-Shift System from the first two Ash Saga Games (2003 and XI) are abolished, and instead goes back to the traditional 3-on-3 rules. Like someone said KOF XII is “Going back to the Basics”.

Also introduced are the following:
Guard Attack: Where your defense against your opponents offense will be changed into an offense when you attack with a knockdown motion. (based on the Arcadia(tm) scans viewed.)
Clashing: Attacks on both sides cancel each other.
Corner Stun: Once the characters are hit in the corner, they will be vulnerable to attacks.

As far as I know, SNK Playmore are doing their best to make this game the “Ultimate 2D Fighter”.

Alam ko, kahit nasa Mindanao pa ako, kung may mga GMA-based events (tulad ng Ika-25 anibersayro ng Eat…Bulaga!na pinalabas sa GMA o finale ng isang telepantasya), may “mahika” na ginagawa ang mga Lopez…

Alam naman nating may-maraming complains ang nanood ng GMA-7 na subscibers ng Sky Cable na nagco-complaindahil umano sa “Signal Distruptions” kuno. Kahit dine-deny pa ng mga Taga-Sky Cable ang nangyayari, alam ko na may ginagawa silang “milagro”.

Alam nating ayaw nilang tumanggap ng pagkatalo, alam naman nating gumagawa sila ng paraan para hindi sila “mabugbog”ng kanilang kalaban. Ewan ko ba, kung bakit nila “dini-disrupt” ang signal?

Yung mga taong may cable na hindi subscriber ng Sky Cable, or yung mga taong walang cable. Suwerte pa kaya sila? Baka oo, o baka rin hindi. Alam naman natin na mga Lopez rin ang may-ari ng Meralco. Baka mag-karoon ng “brownout” kuno. Tapos, sasabihin naman nilang may “maintenance” daw. Owwws, Explain kung bakit mgakakaroon ng “maintenance” sa gitna ng gabi?

Bakit ko kaya sinusulat ito? Ngayon na ang finale ng Marimar (kahit hindi ako sumusubaybay nito). May record itong nilalampaso ang kalaban nito. Ngayon magtatapos na ito, alam ko ginagawa nilang engrande ito. Pero, ngunit, subalit, dapatwat, (sorry, Sweet, pahiram lang ng sinasabi mo) Malamang mabubugbog ang kalaban. At the Ultra, in the said date there are 71 lives that are lost, more than 800 are either injured, gone insane or traumatized. Just for one reason… Just to join a ABS-CBN’s anniversary of “Wowowee”.

A few days prior to this date, there were a lot of people, most of them are poor people, went to Ultra, just to get a chance to win in either of the any portions of “Wowowee” for either House and Lot, cars, tricycles, gorceries and any other things that will benefit them. even the host Willie Revillame (personally, I hate this guy) boasted that there are people “going” to his anniversary of his controversial show.

When the “big day” come, there are people already waiting to enter the stadium, however, as more people wanted to get in, suddenly, chaos ensues. As a result, young or old, men or women, got injured, hurt, and 71 souls perished just to get chance of winning. Some of them got traumatized and some of them got insane at the aftermath of the incident.

Who gets the blame? ABS-CBN? Ultra? the security agency? The ones I mentioned got the blame, as they are sued by the people whose relatives got crazy, who died and the people who were hurt and lived to tell the story. Willie should have been included in the first place, since he pied piper the people to join in his show, but ended up in a miasma of pain and suffering. But still, Lady Justice is watching who are liable in this Ultragedy.

Well we all know, last Friday, the “informant” from Bacolod showed face in ABS-CBN’s TV Patrol. His name is Mark Dumago. All he says are the same old, same old that GMA Network is being accused as the rigger in Bacolod City. Parang sirang plaka. That is the core item of ABS-CBN’s complaint which is junked by the Court.

Then suddenly, “informants” from Cebu, Davao and Iloilo pop-out like mushrooms out of nowhere. They are on the same background (a religious-style background, requoting Robert Garcia in Art of Fighting 2, “…don’t bring religion into this…”), same style of lighting, same testimonies (parang sirang plaka, nahahalata tuloy na scripted).

GMA Network rejects that these “informants” work for them, even they do not have any IDs to show to AGB before.

I do wonder if they are a group of mercenaries who are fed with Lopez’s money to destroy GMA Network, or this Mark Dumago fellow is a “Master of Disguise”? Only time can tell.

No one can tell until they testify to the court as GMA Network Chairman, President and CEO Atty. Felipe Gozon challenged them to do so…

…to testify on who is telling the truth or who is spinning and rehashing lies.

The informants, are they people for hire or it’s only one person in disguise.

However, the battle will never end until the ABS-CBN admits their folly, even GMA Network wanted to end this brouhaha, with the request of the advertisers. Everyone wanted to end this, and the real truth and justice comes out in the proper place. Still, ABS-CBN ay “Nagtetengang-kawali”, and they never know when to quit, just to get away with their folly.

WARNING: This is only an overview of mine, regarding the Ratings issue…

Trial by Publicity has some consequences as well.

“Instead of being accurate in its reporting, the ABS-CBN abused its clout as a broadcaster to engage in an intense media campaign to publicly vilify the petitioner (AGB Nielsen) and gain public sympathy for its cause, evidently to advance its private interest as litigant,” According to AGB. This is regarding in the misleading info by ABS-CBN in the ratings issue.
We all know that ABS-CBN was trying to destroy GMA Network by distorting, and splicing the words said by AGB Nielsen GM Maya Reforma that GMA Network was behind on the rigging. But Ms. Reforma only pointed that there were. “corrupted home panels.” Ms. Reforma never said or did not say that GMA was behind it. In other words, ABS-CBN wants to “get GMA Network out of their way.”

As for the TRO to stop showing the Rating Data, the TRO only asked to stop showing the ratings of Bacolod City, but ABS-CBN omitted the vital words “from corrupted home panels.” Is ABS-CBN protecting something? Do they fear something?

See, they want to protect themselves just for their own interest. They will do anything just to get back on the drivers seat. I feel sorry for them.

With that, GMA Network is right all along that ABS-CBN is “bending the truth” and they blame someone else just to get away. Now that ABS-CBN’s diabolical plot to destroy GMA Network’s reputation is blown in the cover. What’s next???

ABS-CBN will talk like a random Scooby-Doo villain saying:
“I could have gotten away, if it weren’t for you, meddling people!”

Well, it’s self-explanatory… It is not a review, but it is my overview on KOF ’98 UM…

This is not just an update of the KOF ’98 (my most favorite KOF titles ever), it is a revolutionary KOF game.

In terms of gameplay, there is a third fighting mode called the Ultimate mode in which you customize your own mode, however that is all I can explain about the Ultimate mode. I’ll add more if I ever play this game.

Other than that, there are also new characters who are actually KOF ’95-’97 characters who are not included (Eiji, Kasumi, Geese, Mr. Big, Krauser, Goenitz, and even the ROTB characters (Iori and Leona) and Orochi). Plus you had a chance in fighting the ’96 Boss Team (Geese, Mr. Big, Krauser) at the 6th stage (other than the ’96 Yagami, Oyaji and USA Sports Team) and a chance to battle Goenitz or Orochi (other than Omega Rugal in thew Original KOF ’98) as your boss.

Also there are characters who gained new moves (e.g. Benimaru) and also new EX characters in this game (King, Yamazaki, Mary, and even Geese). And also, there are new stages in the game as well.

Personally, I had teams already, but I will reveal it soon.
